Has anyone tried using Product Hunt to build their community here?

Hi everyone 👋 We had some good momentum and amazing customer support during our PH launch. Now I’m exploring how to keep that momentum going and actually build a community here (instead of defaulting to Slack or Discord). How do you move beyond just initial discovery and engagement?

Has anyone tried using Product Hunt itself as the community hub for your product? Any tips on how to approach this?

I’ve found this community very vibrant and helpful, especially if your ICP is early stage founders and builders. I’d love to learn how others have deepened that connection and grown their community right here.

I think it's good to build a community on LinkedIn but at the same time PH will be the source of this community. I have many acquaintances on LinkedIn with PH. I haven't tried to do it but I think implementing people from PH on LinkedIn will be a good idea

@igorlysenko2 LinkedIn engagement tends to stay locked inside its walled garden, over time, comments, reviews, and feedback get buried or lost. On Product Hunt, though, those same discussions surface on Google search, ChatGPT, and elsewhere when users ask similar questions.

@hari_dhisana_ai You tagged the wrong person. You mean the LinkedIn community is mostly not active outside of the LinkedIn area, right?

It's a great idea. Product Hunt is awesome for that initial spike, but keeping the momentum here is the real challenge. Most people just default to Discord, but staying where your early adopters already are makes a lot of sense. Curious to see if anyone has successfully pulled this off long-term.
