Hey everyone! With the holiday season coming up, I'm curious how entrepreneurs and business owners are prepping for Christmas.
The rush can be a goldmine for sales, but it also means:
dealing with slowdowns,
staff vacations,
and potential disruptions.
How are you planning to maintain your company workflow during the festive period?
Speaking for me and my team, we have this "hacking" system:
The holiday season will actually be quieter in terms of day-to-day workload.
Some team members don’t celebrate Christmas (different faiths/backgrounds), so they’re around and happy to cover.
I personally work every single day anyway. 😅
Ads are running 24/7 on autopilot, so we’re still actively pushing for sales and keeping the revenue flowing.

I am celebrating the New Year holidays, but I will still be working. Usually there is less work during these days because potential clients may take time off, and everything becomes stable again by January when the team is back in full operation 🎄

Historically with my first company, Christmas has always been a goldmine in terms of social media interaction, so we just plan our content to exploit that!

@theo_crewe_read Yeah, people have somehow more time during Christmas being online (which is a bit sad and concerning). They should dedicate their time to their loved ones. But who am I to say that? :D I am also too way online LOL :D

This is the most important part of the holiday season for me. After that, I’ll probably take 1–2 days to rest.

For the engineering side, we implement a hard "Code Freeze" starting Dec 15th. No new features, no non-critical updates. The last thing I want is to be debugging a failed database migration on Christmas Eve because someone pushed a "quick fix." Do you guys stop shipping code, or just rely on the team coverage to handle fires if they start?
