I built a new AI flight assistant for FlyToDash, please check it out
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on FlyToDash, a simple flight deal and booking site, and I recently released the biggest update so far: an AI flight assistant that helps travelers understand real prices, compare airlines, and make better decisions before booking.
This started as a small experiment, but it turned into something more useful than I expected. The assistant now:
Finds the cheapest route for any origin and destination
Breaks down the real cost of a flight, including taxes and hidden fees
Explains baggage rules for different airlines
Suggests the best days to fly
Compares airlines in a clear, easy-to-understand way
Handles lowercase airport codes, city names, and common input mistakes
Uses a cleaner, faster chat interface
I also added a Flight Cost Calculator that gives a complete price estimate for a trip, including baggage, so travelers know what they’re actually paying before they book.
Why I built it:
Airline pricing can be confusing, and many people don’t realize how much extra they end up paying until it’s too late. I wanted to create something that explains everything upfront in a simple way.
If you’d like to try it, it’s available here:
https://FlyToDash.com
I’d really appreciate any feedback on:
Whether the AI feels helpful
The user experience and interface
What features you think would make it even better
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I’m happy to answer questions about the build, the approach, or anything else.
