I built a Slack app to fix the "Honest Feedback" trap
Hey PH Community!
We’ve all been there: A manager asks for "honest feedback," but everyone stays quiet because nobody wants to be the complainer or risk their neck. Traditional "anonymous" surveys usually feel like a trap or just get ignored.
I built Myelin to bridge that gap. It’s a Slack-native tool designed to make workplace feedback actually safe and actionable.
The /vent Command: Team members can submit raw, unfiltered feedback privately within Slack.
Sanitized Summaries: Instead of just forwarding the message, Myelin routes a sanitized summary to leadership. It strips away the identity but keeps the core issue.
Sentiment & Topic Tagging: It uses sentiment analysis to help managers spot patterns (e.g., "Burnout," "Tooling Issues," "Process Friction") across the whole team before they become deal-breakers.
Slack-Native Workflow: No new Dashboards to learn. Everything happens via Slack and threaded follow-ups.
I’m currently in the testing phase and looking for some early feedback on the workflow. If you’ve ever felt like you couldn't speak up at work (or if you’re a manager who knows your team is holding back), I’d love for you to check it out.

Do you think 'anonymous' venting is actually possible in a small company, or do people always figure out who said it?
