Is "Data Archaeology" killing your team's productivity?

by

I've noticed a trend: Growth teams are spending more time auditing event triggers and debugging GA4 than actually building products.

We have "Product Intelligence" and "Business Intelligence," but we still don't have "Reasoning." When a conversion rate drops, we're still stuck in 3-hour meetings trying to find the one Safari bug or broken code release that caused it.

I'm curious to hear from the makers here:

  • How long does it usually take your team to find the "Root Cause" of a metric change?

  • Is your main dashboard a source of truth, or a source of arguments?

(I’m building something to automate this investigation and would love to hear your horror stories before we go live tomorrow!)
