Hi, I'm working on an open-source project for mobile developers and I'm curious: is Product Hunt a good place to launch?
We've met several folks who are only interested in commercial apps, so I have no idea where to introduce our open-source product to the public.
I'm specifically looking for people who are building mobile apps and want to boost their user engagement.
Thanks in advance.

From my point of view, Product Hunt can work if you frame it right. I’ve seen open-source tools do well when the value is crystal clear. If your project directly improves user engagement, that’s a strong hook. I would emphasize real use cases and maybe early results. Still, I’d personally also target GitHub trending and developer communities since that’s where open-source audiences usually hang out.
@itohan_blessing_eigbadon 100%. The main target so far is to focus on GitHub Trending and various developer communities, but I was wondering how Product Hunt might fit for an open-source project.
Thanks for your comments! I will definitely try to launch on Product Hunt as well as GitHub with solid hooks.
