Launching May 1 — what would make you try a new platform?

We’re launching Evenpairs on May 1 (SF Bay Area first).

It’s a private community for professionals to meet in real life:

  • Introductions

  • Experiences

  • Planning all in one place

Quick question:

--> What would make you actually try something like this?

  • Price?

  • Exclusivity?

  • Better matches?

  • Events?

Trying to make this genuinely useful, not just another app.

Having it availabel in my city first! But in all fairness.. I wonder ho wit would be diferent from regular meetings which there is no shortage of.. that has to be very clear.

@christianalmurr That’s fair — and honestly the right question.

The difference is we’re not optimizing for more meetings — we’re optimizing for who you meet.

Most platforms are open and volume-driven.

Evenpairs is curated, selective, and built around introductions with intent.

Starting in SF first exactly for that reason — density + quality matters.

Would love to hear what would make something like this actually worth trying for you.

Hey there! Came across this just now. The profession itself matters, because only people in common are incentivized to meet up and talk to one another. Will there be segmented communities within your platform to account for this? And how do you plan on bringing people together for this? I think this is an interesting idea!

@blakeskrable Hey Blake...really good point.

We’re starting with a shared baseline (verified professionals), but the real focus is alignment on intent — what people are actually looking for (dating, friendships, meaningful connections, even cofounders).

Instead of open communities, we’re doing smaller, curated introductions + experiences so people meet in the right context, not randomly.

The goal isn’t more people — it’s the right people, at the right time.

@blakeskrable Appreciate it, Blake. Means a lot.
