ABIUD MASINDE

New and nervous

by

Hey everyone

I'm Abiud, a builder who loves creating things and gets genuinely excited about turning ideas into products people actually use. I've been lurking here for a while, absorbing every launch story I could find. Now I'm a few days away from putting my first ever SaaS out into the world and I won't lie, I'm pretty nervous. If you've launched before, any advice for a first-timer? I'll take all the wisdom I can get.

Glad to finally be here.

Hey Abiud...super excited for your launch! The nerves are totally normal...even on later ones they creep in. My advice as a repeat launcher: lean into the community early (reply to every comment), share your builder story authentically, and remember it's a marathon...first feedback loops are gold.

If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI flashcard app that turns webpages into spaced repetition study material. Would appreciate a follow (link in profile)! 🚀

@rianbrob Thanks Rian, really appreciate the advice. I’ll definitely lean into the community and focus on those early feedback loops. Also just followed, the Sponge sounds like a really cool idea.

Welcome to the community, Abiud! The nerves are a good sign - it means you care about what you're building.

As someone preparing for our own launch (Kinetic Mingle, a dating coaching platform, launching March 24th), here's what's helped me: Focus on one metric that matters most in the first week. For most first launches, that's usually just 'did real users find it useful?' not 'did we hit our upvote goals?'

Also - the PH community is genuinely supportive. Share what you're building and people will give thoughtful feedback. What problem does your SaaS solve?
