Open-source OKRs that actually fit solo founders
Founder Coach is an open-source OKR tracker with a built‑in AI coach, designed for solo founders and tiny teams that hate traditional OKR tools.
Most OKR software is built for big companies: org charts, layers of permissions, and hours of setup before you see any value. As a solo founder, I just needed something that:
Helps me define 1–3 meaningful objectives
Turns them into measurable key results
Nudges me every week to reflect, update progress, and stay realistic
So I built OKR2 Lamb and decided to release it as open source.

What it does
Minimal OKR tracking: create objectives and KRs in minutes, no org‑chart setup.
AI OKR coach: an assistant that helps you refine objectives, write measurable KRs, and break them into weekly actions.
Weekly and daily check‑ins: very short prompts that update progress, capture blockers, and adjust focus.
Founder‑first UX: built around how solo founders actually work (context switching, uncertainty, self‑doubt), not corporate rituals.
Transparent and hackable: self‑host or fork it; read the code, change the flows, add your own prompts and integrations.
What’s different
Built for 1–5 people from day one, not a stripped‑down enterprise product.
Open source, so you keep control of your data and can customize everything.
Opinionated defaults: you can go from idea → first OKR in under 5 minutes.
The “coach” is not just a chatbot; it’s wired into your OKRs, check‑ins, and history so it talks about your actual goals.
Why I’m launching

I kept bouncing off existing OKR tools: too heavy, too corporate, and too expensive for a solo founder who just wants to make consistent progress. OKR2 Lamb is my attempt at something lightweight, honest, and founder‑friendly—and now I want feedback from you.
How you can help
Try the live demo and tell me where you get confused or bored.
Check out the repo and roast the architecture / DX.

Tell me what would make this your default place to set goals each quarter.
I’ll post full page footage (onboarding, creating OKRs, AI coach interactions, weekly review flows) in the comments so you can see the whole experience without signing up first.
Excited to hear what you think and what you’d like to see next.

Thanks for checking out Founder Coach
As promised, here’s full page footage of the product in action: onboarding, creating your first OKR, using the AI coach, and doing a weekly review.
If you’re a solo founder or a 2–3‑person team, I’d especially love feedback on:
Does the flow feel too “corporate” anywhere?
Where do you typically drop OKRs in week 3–6, and how could the tool help?
What would make you trust this enough to run your actual quarter in it?
The project is fully open source; if you want to self‑host, fork, or contribute, here’s the repo:

I’ll be here all day answering questions, sharing roadmap ideas, and listening to brutal, honest feedback.
