Privacy-first JPEG & PNG compression in the browser with no server upload — Optimaza

I want to share a small project I’ve been working on — Optimaza.

Optimaza is a browser-based image compression tool that lets you compress JPEG/JPG and PNG images without uploading files to a server. All image processing happens locally in the browser, so your files never leave your device.

I built Optimaza because many online image compressors require uploading images to third-party servers, which isn’t always ideal for privacy, sensitive content, or internal work files. The goal was to create a simple, fast, and privacy-first image optimizer that works instantly and doesn’t require accounts or cloud processing.

The tool supports common use cases like:

• reducing image size for websites and better page speed

• compressing JPEG images for email attachments

• optimizing PNG files while keeping transparency

• preparing images for CMS uploads and content platforms
