The part that stood out most is that being visible in AI answers doesn’t mean the information is correct 43% error rate is huge. It really changes how we should think about SEO in the AI era. Comparison pages aren't just citation magnets. They're correction accelerators.
Pages with comparison tables corrected errors 2.3x faster than standard content. Why? They force specificity. You have to state exactly what you offer vs. competitors. AI loves that clarity.
FAQ schema came in second at 1.8x faster. Structured Q&A leaves less room for interpretation.
The takeaway: If you want AI to get you right, make it impossible for them to get you wrong. Comparison tables and FAQs do exactly that.
This is an underrated problem that most founders completely ignore until it's too late.
Tested this with Hello Aria recently: asked ChatGPT "what's a good AI productivity app that works through WhatsApp?" — it gave a generic answer, didn't mention us at all. Asked a more specific question about "AI assistant for iOS with WhatsApp integration" — started appearing.
The insight: LLMs rank based on how frequently and specifically your product appears in web content with clear category language. Generic blog posts don't cut it. You need content that answers the exact questions your users are asking LLMs.
The fix is basically SEO for AI — write content that mirrors how people prompt ChatGPT, not how they search Google. Very different phrasing.

The decay curve is the most important chart in this dataset — and I think it hides a split that would change the remediation strategy completely.
The 30-day fix playbook assumes the error lives somewhere you control: update the page, implement schema, add "last updated" dates. That works when the error originated from your own outdated content.
But in your dataset, how much of the 43% error rate traces back to sources the founder can't touch? Old Reddit threads, competitor comparison pages, G2 reviews written pre-pivot, tech press that covered you in 2022 with the wrong positioning. Those sources don't decay the same way — they persist, they get cited, and fixing your own site doesn't clear them from the training signal.
If a meaningful portion of errors come from external sources, the decay curve you're showing is actually optimistic for those cases. You're not fighting the AI's recency bias — you're fighting the continued existence of a page you didn't write and can't update.
For early-stage startups this is especially sharp. That narrative didn't come from our pages. There's nothing to update on our end. The only lever is generating enough original signal that the model has something better to reason from.
