Seasoned developers building a cybersecurity SaaS
Hi everyone,
This is my first post on Product Hunt, nice to meet you all!
We’re two cybersecurity and data/AI engineers with more than two decades of experience. Alongside our day jobs, we’ve been active in bug bounty programs for years. During that time, we’ve uncovered numerous secret leaks that led to real security exploits.
That experience led us to create SecretsBuster in 2024. The product uses the same techniques an attacker would use, which makes it particularly effective at finding exposed secrets such as passwords or tokens.
We offer SecretsBuster as a SaaS platform for organizations that want to protect themselves. It integrates easily with existing build pipelines and development workflows. At the same time, we also use it ourselves in bug bounty programs, where it has repeatedly proven its effectiveness. In several cases, we’ve discovered exposed secrets that led to high-impact vulnerabilities, including within large companies. We’ve documented some of these findings on our blog.
That said, marketing has been a challenge for us so far, and we feel the product hasn’t yet reached the audience it deserves.
So this post is a bit more of a short history of SecretsBuster than a pure personal introduction. From what I’ve seen, this community is very insightful, so I’m really looking forward to read your feedback.
Thanks!

Well, the lack of visibility and replies on this post is actually a pretty good illustration of the traction challenges we’ve been facing 😄
I’d genuinely appreciate some feedback.
Does this come across as too promotional? Or does it lack clarity or useful detail?
Feel free to be direct, any criticism is welcome.
@richardrank0 Hi Richard, just came here on PH last week and I have the same traction challenge as yours. Getting visibility when you're starting from zero is brutal. I'm building a cybersecurity platform too. I am trying hard on LinkedIn as my ICP are there but I really want to launch on PH too.
Happy to check it out and give you honest feedback if you want to do the same.
@mario_bouchard_m_adm_cissp Hi Mario, thanks for sharing!
What's your product? What are you solving?
