Unpopular Opinion: "Vibe Coding" is a trap for non-technical founders.
by•
We see a lot of hype around "Vibe Coding" lately (just prompt it, and AI builds it).
As someone with 20+ years in tech, I see a dangerous pattern:
1. It works for the "Happy Path" (Simple prototypes).
2. It fails at "Edge Cases" (Security, Scaling, Database integrity).
3. Founders end up with "Frankenstein Code" they can't fix or maintain.
I believe AI should be a "Factory" (Structured, proven architecture), not a "Magic Wand" that writes random code.
What's your take? Are you trusting AI Agents to build your entire production backend, or are we over-hyping it?

I’m curious to hear from other makers:
Has anyone here actually deployed a purely AI-generated app (Cursor/Bolt) to production and kept it running for more than 3 months without a total rewrite?
Or are we all just building shiny prototypes that break at scale? Let's be honest. 👇
