We tried to fix the “scattered notes” problem - this is what worked

by

Before anything else, a bit of context:

We’re building an AI tool that helps you search and use your notes (Notion, docs, etc.) without digging through everything manually. The idea made sense but when people actually used it, it didn’t really stick. So we stopped pushing it and went back to fix what wasn’t working. We didn’t want to relaunch without seeing real improvement.

Here’s our Weekly Active Users (WAU) over the last 90 days:

  • Early drop → people weren’t sticking

  • Flat period → something was clearly off

  • Recent growth → after we rebuilt a core part of the product

The biggest change: Projects

Before:

  • Notes, conversations, and files felt all over the place

  • No simple way to organize work

  • Hard to pick things back up

Now:

  • Everything lives in one place — notes, chats, files

  • Conversations stay within the project, so context doesn’t get messy

You can search or ask questions and it actually uses everything inside the project

We recorded a quick demo of it 👇

We also added some extra things like uploading files into the flow and running multiple actions at once, but honestly the main goal was just to make it easier to keep work together and continue where you left off. We’re still early, but this is the first time it’s started to feel right. Would really appreciate honest feedback especially on how Projects fits (or doesn’t fit) into how you work.
