What’s Coming Next for Live Resume, Building the Future of Dynamic Resumes + Resume API

Hey Product Hunt!
I launched Live Resume, a resume that updates itself, and the response has been unreal. We touched #6, got tons of support, and amazing feedback.

Now here’s a look at what I’ve already added + what’s coming next 👇

🔥Big Updates Coming Soon

1️⃣ Real-Time Resume Rendering (Live Visual Preview)

I’m currently building a real-time rendering engine so you can see your resume update instantly as you type.
No downloading PDFs.
No refreshing previews.
Just instant visual feedback.

This will make building a resume feel like editing a Notion page.

2️⃣ Resume API - A First in the Resume Builder Space

This is one of the biggest things I’m working on.

I will soon provide a Resume API so you can programmatically access your resume anywhere you want.

🔧 Where You Can Use the API:

  • Embed your live resume on your personal website or portfolio.

  • Show real-time career updates inside your own dashboard or app.

  • Connect it with Zapier/Make to automate workflows.

  • Build custom UI on top of your own resume data.

  • Auto-send updated resumes to HR systems or recruiters.

  • Add your resume to mobile apps, project pages, or GitHub READMEs.

This API unlocks a huge amount of creativity, and no other resume builder currently gives this.

3️⃣ Multiple Resume Templates

Clean, modern, dark mode, portfolio-style — all coming.

4️⃣ Deep Customization Options

Fonts, spacing, layout, icons, complete visual control.

5️⃣ LaTeX Support

For people who want academic-level formatting.

6️⃣ Smart Data Sync

Your resume will be able to auto-update from:

  • GitHub

  • LinkedIn

  • Certificates

  • Your portfolio

7️⃣ Public Live Profile Link

Share your resume as a URL that stays alive forever.

8️⃣ AI Resume Assistant

Rewrite bullets, improve ATS, and generate new sections instantly.

9️⃣ Resume Analytics

Get insights on views, visits, and recruiter activity.

🌱 Why I’m Doing This

Traditional resumes die the second you download the PDF.
I want to build a resume that lives, grows, updates, and evolves with your career.

Live Resume is just V1, and the next version is going to be huge.

🙌 Your Feedback Helps

Tell me which feature you’re most excited for, I’m building this with the community.
