When I realized it's practically impossible to track 150 customers at the same time
Hello everyone, CRMs or even spreadsheets help us track our customers between them and us. If they pay the invoices, if they like the products, if they are happy with us etc. That's great and super useful.
What is almost impossible to do, is to track those customers as companies in the market. Are they doing well? Did they get hit with a lawsuit? Did they fire half of their employees? Did they raise new funds and are ready for expansion?
And yes, you can somehow find it out, if you add them on LinkedIn, or if the news is that big that it will make a sound, but what about the ones that will fall through the cracks?
This is how I realized I cannot do this type of tracking, but knowledge is power, especially if you want to retain your book of business.
There's too much happening outside. For this reason, I built sentiel.net.
A tool that surfaces external churn signals like layoffs, leadership changes and other distress signals and sends them straight to your inbox so you know when a customer might be at risk.
It is an early Beta, but it already helps me stay ahead of things I would have missed.
