I think if ProductHunt launched a job board to connect community members with early and established companies, it could have many benefits, such as:
Solving the unemployment crisis in tech right now by employing people with companies that are in need to scale new products
Growing ProductHunt's usage by attracting the job market to use the tool daily to discover new products and network
What do you think?

@drewg2009 Love the idea, if it’s maker-first. A generic job board = spam. PH’s edge is community, so keep it to early-stage roles/gigs, require salary range + verified company profiles (pulled from PH pages), add a “Hiring” badge on launch pages, and auto-expire posts. I’d use that. Would you pay a small fee to keep quality high?
awesome! Maybe at first do it without a fee, measure the usage, and then decide if having a fee would help

I remember PH actually had a job board a few years back, not sure why they decided to sunset it. Feels like it could’ve been super useful, especially for early-stage teams like ours at Escape Velocity AI, that might need in the future a designated space to connect with people who are looking for a job and thrive in startup environments.
Curious if anyone knows the backstory on why it was dropped?

It’s a good idea. I think recruiting people through PH would be much better than other options

@manu_goel2 agreed, less saturation and more focus on startup hires
