I have to say, it is a little bit faster than ImageOptim (on free version). The file size is smaller than ImageOptim in lossless mode. However, I still prefer the lossy compression from ImageOptim. It doesn't lose too much quality (you won't notice unless you zooming 100% and compare with the original side by side), while the file size is a lot smaller than Aerate. Smaller file size is much more important than faster compression time in my opinion.

I took a look at the website but don't see anything about resizing. Does Aerate allow you to resize the images as well? For example, I'd like to compress the filesize and shrink all images to be max 820px width. Possible?
