Get back 1 hour and 20 minutes of your time each day to work out, cook, read or see people you love. Unpluq helps you to take control of your time with a physical gesture to control access to your phone. Improve your mood, sleep, and productivity.
Congratulations on the launch! ๐ I can totally relate to the struggle of spending too much time on social platforms and losing track of time. It's so easy to fall into the habit of mindless scrolling. I remember when I had a great routine of not checking my phone for hours after waking up, and I'd love to get back to that. Kudos to you for creating a solution to this common challenge! ๐ช๐
Any plans for launching it on Android soon?
Congrats on the launch! I find that the built-in screen time reminders are muuuuch to easy to ignore ๐
I love this idea of having to shake the phone or solve some issues, is the physical tag necessary to use Unpluq? I would be worried about losing it ๐ฑ
@alexandrabjarg Alexandra thanks for spelling out why the built in settings aren't working for you! You don't NEED the physical tag to use Unpluq, but you WILL have the most impactful change in your behavior with it. You could order two Tags and keep one in a safe (inconveniently safe) place and one on your key chain, most people keep theirs on a keychain and we've had very few reports of lost keys!
@alexandrabjarg of course! glad it was helpful. You can a buy a backup tag through a secret link, ping me at caroline@unpluq.com and I'll help you out!
This is such a good idea! I heard elsewhere about the idea of breaking the immediate dopamine hit you get when you check Instagram/Twitter/TikTok. I love the idea of configurable real world checks to get in the way of that unhealthy loop.
Congrats on the launch! The scheduling feature sounds like something I'd use - my phone's built in screen time limits have never worked for me so blocking specific times of the day would probably be a better way for me to manage my screen time.
@zahra_deen This so resonates--native screen time limits are great for some, but our customers have largely told us they simply aren't enough for them. The Tag is really key here, too! Thanks for your support.

This is perfect timing! I've been trying digital detoxes (but what happens when they end?!) and putting screen time limits/reminders on my phone, but they're not really enough to 'stop' me. I just ignore them like the rest of my app notifications. We're all addicted to our phones and unconsciously swiping, without even realizing we have picked up our phone before it's too late - already down the rabbit hole!
Blocking specific times of the day makes a lot more sense, and using a physical tag makes my commitment to it more real. Is that the idea behind the tag? Really great idea! The inbuilt features in my phone are just not cutting it sadly. This is such a simple concept but sounds like it's all about how you execute it. Can't wait to try it!
@noor_anwar Thanks Noor, it sounds like you get it and I really appreciate that you've shared how you think about it. Let me know what you think when you try it!
@aylinetravers Thank you! And yes, in theory it will ;). Now let's make it a reality!
Curious to hear what you think once you've tried out the app - keep us posted :)
Congrats on the launch! I've been using Unpluq for the past 2 months and it's helped me reclaim hours of my time. Any app that can do that is hugely valuable.
@nicklafferty Thanks for your support Nick! It's great to hear that we're actually providing people real value ๐

@killclick , this is such a unique idea! Great initiative and more power to Unpluq. Congrats on the PH launch!
P.S I wish I could shake my phone and give you an upvote to show my support :)
@luke_button Hi Luke, you can 100% use this for Twitter! Lot of folks pair that with Reddit and a favorite game to keep them focused during the day or present in the evening with loved ones. Great to spend time catching up on Twitter, but, intentionally.
Thanks for your question about our roadmap!
In addition to improving our existing mobile solutions with more barriers (like adding walking as a barrier on iOS and adding geo-fenced schedules that atomatically activate in the future), we'll of course help people accomplish the same goal across all the devices they interact with on a daily basis. Our customers say we've found something magical with this physical gesture, so that's what we'll be solving for: using physical, offline gestures to pull people back into the real world and bring them delightful balance that helps them really make the most of life.
