Vexlio - Interactive diagrams that surface detail on demand

I'm pleased to announce a new design and new app for Vexlio! We first launched in 2017 as an offline technical diagramming app. The new Vexlio targets a much larger mission: enable anyone to create rich, interactive documents that can be explored by viewers at their own pace. Vexlio helps you create interactive documents that people can use and explore. Most diagrams or visual aids end up as static screenshots in a document or slide. They may look fine, but they don't (and frequently can't) carry important details that matter like links, definitions, examples, criteria, images, etc. Generally, this forces a choice between packing all the detail into the one diagram, which can create a huge amount of clutter and visual noise, or attaching and maintaining a wholly separate document with the details. With Vexlio, any element in your visual can reveal extra content on mouse hover or click. You can add a pop-up with whatever helps the viewer understand that particular part. This works well for flowcharts, process workflow diagrams, documentation, architecture overviews; really, anything where both the top-level picture and the details are important, and cramming it all into one diagram is too much. When you're done, you share a viewer link. The person on the other end, or anyone with the link, doesn't need to create an account, sign in, or launch an app. The visual opens immediately in a clean, minimal viewing environment, and the viewer can explore at their own pace, drilling down into the parts they care about.
