Is “Vibe Coding” Becoming a Real Development Workflow?

Been noticing how quickly vibe coding has become a real workflow lately.

A few months ago most of us were still writing everything manually or just using AI for small snippets. Now it feels like the process has shifted to describing what you want and iterating with the AI until the product behaves the way you imagine.

What’s interesting isn’t just speed — it’s how it changes who can build. People who were previously “idea people” can now ship small tools, internal dashboards, or even full MVPs without deep engineering backgrounds.

At the same time, I’m seeing a few challenges pop up:

  • Debugging AI-generated logic when things break

  • Maintaining structure as projects grow

  • Knowing when to stop prompting and actually refactor

Curious how others here are approaching it.

Are you using vibe coding just for prototypes, or are you comfortable shipping production code this way?
