[Extended] Easter weekend deal: $10/mo locked in for life (normally $29)
Quick one. I've been building software for over 20 years, and I've never done a seasonal discount before. But we just passed 40 free users, and I wanted to give people a reason to jump in this weekend.
The offer:
- Monthly plan locked in at $10/month (normally $29/month)
- That's 66% off, and the rate stays for as long as your subscription is active
- Not a first-month promo. Your price doesn't go up.
- Ends April 10
Full disclosure: I built Vois.
What you get on the subscriber plan:
- Unlimited audio generation (free tier caps at 10/day)
- Voice cloning
- Unlimited projects
- Export to any format
- All 63 voices, all three engines (fast, expressive, multilingual)
The discount is live on the website. If you go to the pricing page, you'll see it applied automatically. No code needed, but if you're checking out directly: EASTERVOIS
This isn't tied to any engagement or action here. Same price whether you found this through PH, Google, or someone forwarding a link. Just a holiday weekend thing.
Note: New model with lots of extra features coming soon.
If you've been on the free tier and hit the 10-generation daily cap, this is a good time to try the full version.
Anyone else running Easter promos this weekend? Curious what's working for other indie makers.

I am curious about the voice cloning part. I have tried a few tools before, but results were always mixed. if this works well, I can see myself using it regularly, especially for small projects 🎧
Vois
@katheleen_chips Absolutely, why don't you just give it a try.
Have you noticed whether most upgrades happen after users hit the daily cap, or after they try a specific feature like voice cloning?
Vois
@felix_jordan Both, but for different reasons. The daily cap is what makes people aware there's a limit. Voice cloning is what makes them want to stay. Most of our free users hit the 10/day cap within their first session.
@felix_jordan For me, I’ve mostly noticed upgrades happen right after I hit the daily cap. It feels like that’s the main trigger.
Was 10 per day free limit always the sweet spot, or did you have to adjust that over time?
Vois
@hudson_blake Started higher, pulled it down. 10 is enough to test voices, try the editor, and hear what the output sounds like. Enough to evaluate, not enough to produce a full episode. That felt like the right line.
Did you always know you wanted to keep the discounted price locked, or was that something you decided later?
Vois
@hailey_brianna1 Decided later. Originally planned a first-month discount. But those feel hollow. You get someone in at a low price, then hit them with the real number 30 days later. Locking it in felt more honest.
@praney_behl Makes sense! Locking the rate definitely feels more honest than a short term discount it builds trust and removes the awkward "gotcha" moment. Appreciate the transparency.
Curious whether people respond better to a transparent founder post like this than to a more polished promo style.
Vois
@ian_maxwell1 Significantly better in my experience. Polished promo posts get scrolled past. This thread has more engagement than anything else I've posted in p/vois. Take from that what you will.
@praney_behl Really Interesting! I can see how being transparent and founder driven draws more engagement than a polished ad. Makes me wonder, do you notice that this approach also influences trust or willingness to try the product faster?
Have you seen any difference in conversion when the discount is framed around timing versus feature access?
Vois
@jade_melissa1 Too early to say with real numbers. But anecdotally, "this price stays forever" gets more clicks than "save X% this weekend." People are tired of fake countdown timers.
@praney_behl "Price stays forever" builds trust and clarity, which can drive conversions more than just a short term discount.
Curious what made you go with a lifetime monthly lock instead of a limited time annual discount?
Vois
@ian_maxwell2 Honestly, the annual plan is already $9/mo so there's not much room to discount it further. The monthly plan had more headroom, and locking the rate felt like a stronger reason to act than a temporary percentage off.
@praney_behl Love seeing transparency outperform polished ads. Curious how it affects user trust and conversion speed.
D o you expect the upcoming model release to change what people value most in the paid plan?
Vois
@trevor_nicholas1 Hard to say. Right now most people care about unlimited generation and voice cloning. If the next model improves multilingual quality, that might shift things for creators producing content in multiple languages. We'll see.
@praney_behl Makes total sense. Appreciate you breaking down how usage limits and voice cloning drives upgrades that really clarifies it.
Have users been upgrading more for usage limits, or for quality and control features?
Vois
@grant_harrison2 Usage limits get them to the pricing page. But the actual checkout decision usually comes after they try the timeline or mastering and realize they'd need a separate audio editor without it.
@praney_behl Ah, got it! So hitting the limits is the nudge, but the real decision comes when users realize they need full control over editing. Makes total sense from a creator workflow perspective.
I like the offer especially the “price stays forever” part. If I were you, I’d maybe highlight a few real use cases on the pricing page to push conversions further.
