If you could own a part of Votap… would you?

🚀 Road to 1,000,000 Votap users — Day 62 | Current: 1295

If you could own a part of Votap… would you?

Ever since we started thinking about crowdfunding, the idea really grew on me. What surprised me the most is that a lot of early users started asking:

“Is there a way to support you?” That means a lot.

Because these people are here for the idea and the vision, not because the app is perfect or finished. And that’s a very different kind of support.

It made me think… Instead of just building for users, what if they could actually be part of it?

The money wouldn’t just “go somewhere” - it would directly help us build the full version of Votap faster, better, and with more features.

Right now I’m focused on improving the app as much as possible before we even open this. I want it to feel worth it.

Download Votap from the App Store if you want to follow along.

More tomorrow.

That insight - early users aren't just customers, they're believers - is one of the most underrated things in early-stage building. The crowdfunding angle makes a lot of sense if you can get the regulatory structure right. We're seeing something similar with Hello Aria (AI productivity assistant launching April 10th on PH, ~3k users) - early adopters feel invested, giving feedback, referring friends, staying genuinely engaged not because of features but because they feel like part of something. You don't always need equity to create that feeling. But actual equity definitely deepens it. What platform are you thinking for the crowdfunding structure - Republic, Wefunder, or something else?

@sai_tharun_kakirala I have not decided yet. Any recommendations you have?
