Any plans to tie these products together? e.g. going from flow chart/mind map to screen wires using shared information architecture artifacts. I'm currently using MindNode for rapid information architecture capture during ideation sessions (keyboard shortcuts are key), Realtimeboard for organizing larger information artifacts, flow charts, moodboards and some light wireframing and finally Basalmiq for click-through wireframes. All the segmented information architecture is a pain to keep updated as further ideation sessions/iterations take place. Huge gap in the market with this right now.

@chanjohnathan Hey John, this is a fantastic idea. We are definitely wanting all of the products to be tied together. In fact, one of the reasons we started building Whimsical is because we witnessed the fragmentation of tools & documents like you mentioned. Stay tuned! First, let me just say, Music in this promo video is lit! The product is solid, or should I say smooth? This is what I expect from a wire-framing software.

@metaminds Hey Bas, while the general use cases are similar, pretty much everything else is different :) - Whimsical is simple and streamlined. We believe that less is more. You'll notice this right away when you start creating a Flowchart or Wireframe. - Whimsical is built for speed. Everything, including the contextual toolbars, the keyboard shortcuts, and the style options, is intended to make the app fast to use. - Whimsical is use-case specific. We have different objects, shortcuts, toolbars, etc for Flowcharts and Wireframes. This is so that each creation experience feels tailored to that exact activity. Btw, the Sticky Notes product is coming up next :) https://www.producthunt.com/upco... I'd encourage you to check it out for yourself though. It's easier to experience it firsthand than read about it. We give everyone 4 free boards when they create an account so you'll have plenty of space to experiment. Let me know how it goes!

Pros:

Clean UI, great UX, ease of use, fast layouting of wireframes. Just incredible!

I've been using Whimsical for a few months now. It's insanely oriented towards productivity. I really look forward to the other apps you're gonna launch.

Pros:

Simple, beautiful, comprehensive.

Cons:

Exporting is an afterthought.
