Hey everyone, founder of Worklife here! π
Before Worklife, I was the fifth employee and first PM at a fast-growing startup. As the company grew, I noticed how the culture that made working there so special in its early days became more transactional and less connected. This was also around the time that a new category of consumer-grade B2B products like Slack began to emerge. Just as Slack transformed how we communicate at work, I assumed (hoped) that it was just a matter of time before someone did the same for company culture.
Our goal with Worklife is to deliver on this premise and help companies build amazing cultures at scale. For the past few months, we have been hard at work solving the first piece of this puzzle: a better way to give recognition at work.
Iβm now thrilled to share what we have built with you all today!
With Worklife, you can:
π Give recognition
It takes less than a minute to give recognition in Worklife! Just @ mention your coworkers, write a short message saying why youβre recognizing them, and youβre good to go.
#οΈβ£ Operationalize company values
Add your core values as hashtags so everyone in the company can see and include them in recognition messages. Linking values to recognition helps reinforce those values and keep them top of mind.
β€οΈ Create a culture of recognition
Recognition messages in Worklife get posted to a social feed for others to chime in and react. You can even add points to messages from others to show your support!
π Offer rewards
In Worklife, everyone in your company receives a monthly point allowance that they can use to recognize peers. Recipients can redeem points for digital gift cards, charitable donations, and hundreds of other reward options.
The team and I will be hanging around in the comments. Weβd love to hear your feedback and answer any questions!
@mention@razin Excited about Worklife's integration of core values into recognition! π Using hashtags for company values in recognition messages is a brilliant way to reinforce and keep these values alive. It ensures that every shoutout aligns with what we stand for, truly embedding our culture into daily interactions. #CultureFirst #ValueDrivenRecognition
Added to my watchlist.
Nothing more important than culture in the "remote" age especially.
Thanks @marcel_sim and good to connect with you on LinkedIn! A lot of the teams we spoke with echoed what you said about the importance of aligning recognition with core values. Let us know if you got a chance to take Worklife for a spin and have any other feedback.
@razin yeah i bookmarked it - a bit too early for now but while we grow this is something really helpful maybe so you got my eyes and ears :)

Companies I worked for tried to implement recognition systems and those are tricky as hell! Hope you can implement it effectively, because the market really wants this and I at least really want to see this work for people at work π
Thanks for the feedback @nuno_ms_reis! What do you think makes existing recognition systems so hard to implement/adopt?
Report
@razin they for the most part seem forced and fake. This drives people away and reduces the effects of receiving the feedback.

@razin Hello You're welcome! I'll definitely share my feedback. It's great to see your commitment to making Worklife even better.
Recognition is such a key point for maintaining morale within teams. When I worked at Amazon, we had an internal tool to give accolades to other team members and were broadcast across our org (including to our manager).
It would be cool if someone recognized me if my manager was notified! Align the incentives across the board :)
@razin hahah that's great. I'll be sure to check it out and good luck on your launch. I'm launching today too (let's help each other out and get to the top... then we can race for that #1 spot)

The quick recognition feature and the cool social feed add a personal touch to acknowledging colleagues. I love the idea of tying recognition to our core values β it's like giving kudos with a purpose!
The points system for rewards is a fun twist, making it more than just a pat on the back. The launch is awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Worklife continues to spice up our workdays! π
I really like this, but there's also a lot of competition for services like this.
I'd suggest you to do some heavy outbound sales - excited for the future of worklife!
By the way, we launched a DevTool today (Corbado). I would appreciate if you have a look into it :)
