Here's what an AI agent built on Claude actually did to my X growth.

Genuinely didn't expect to be posting this but the results were weird enough that I figured it was worth sharing.

I was spending 2+ hours a day on X trying to stay visible while building my product. The days I got busy and skipped it, my growth would visibly dip by the next morning. It felt like renting attention ... the moment I stopped paying, it disappeared.

So I built X Autopilot.

A local AI agent powered by Claude that handles the engagement layer for me.

What it actually does:

  • Finds relevant tweets in my niche

  • Reads them properly (not keyword matching - actual context understanding)

  • Replies in my voice, because I trained it on my own writing

  • Handles likes, follows, DMs - all tiered by account size

The thing that surprised me most: the replies don't read like a bot. People respond like they're talking to a real person. Three of them became paying customers after discovering me through a reply the agent left on a thread.

After 6 weeks:

  • 4–6 inbound DMs per week

  • 3 paying customers from thread replies alone

It runs fully locally. No cloud, no subscription, no API exposure. You own the whole thing.

Just open sourced it today — curious if anyone else has experimented with Claude for this kind of autonomous social layer, and what your experience has been with reply quality vs. template-based tools.

Happy to go deep on the Claude integration, voice training, or the engagement strategy if anyone's curious.
