9 most in-demand startups from YC Demo Day

A week ago, Y Combinator held its Summer 2025 Demo Day in San Francisco, showcasing over 160 startups and highlighting 9 highly focused ones.

TL;DR: The most trending were AI-focused, specifically AI agents.

  1. Autumn – Billing infrastructure for AI

  2. Dedalus Labs – Connect any LLM to any MCP tools and create complex agents in minutes

  3. Design Arena – World's largest crowdsourced benchmark for AI-generated design

  4. Getasap Asia – Tech-enabled distributor for retailers in Southeast Asia

  5. Keystone – AI engineer that fixes bugs in production

  6. RealRoots – AI social app for female transplants

  7. Solva – Automates insurance claims and stops incorrect payouts

  8. Perseus Defense – Counter-drone mini-missiles

  9. Pingo AI – AI companion that helps you learn languages

  • Which of these solutions do you find the most useful?

  • Who is preparing to apply for the next round of the YC funding?

As for me, I like the most Pingo AI, Perseus Defense and RealRoots.

Perseus Defence 👉 Drone nerf-ing as a service. Really cool!

Nika

@sentry_co I think this will be more common because of the tense situation in the world...

Sanskar Yadav

@sentry_co Can't find a cooler service than this, while its disturbing at the same time.

@sanskarix Yepp. Blackmirror future here we go. Maybe the good people win 💪

PRIYANKA MANDAL

Thanks for sharing, Nika. So many cool startups this Demo Day.

Nika

@priyankamandal Recommend getting through the rest: https://www.ycombinator.com/companies?batch=Summer%202025 ( @konrad_sx found the refference)

Abdul Rehman

Perseus Defense caught my eye 👀 Counter-drone tech is going to be huge given how fast the space is evolving.

Nika

@abod_rehman Yeah, Polish people are learning from Ukraine in these terms.

Konrad S.

Yes, Perseus Defense could be huge, and Pingo AI could be very useful also!

Nika

@konrad_sx I am curious what other products were about, but I couldn't find the list anywhere.

Nika

@konrad_sx aaa... so they used this number from there. TY!

I like Design Arena most! It helps me view so many design results by different models! Great idea.

Nika

@mickeyqiu they are also good. It depends on which field/industry it is the most relevant to you at the moment :)

Autumn, billing infra for AI. Easiest pick for me right now: usage metering + pricing rails we can plug in today.

Nika

@sheraz_abdul_hayee This one was the least tempting for me (because it is not something I am trying to solve rn) :D

Sheraz Abdul Hayee

@busmark_w_nika For me it was because of too much backend coding of Usage based credits of AI tool and i think our engineer will love it 😅

Manu Goel
I liked Pingo AI… it caught my attention because I had learned Spanish in a different way few years back. While my way was still conversational but if I had something like this then it would have been even better and faster.
Nika

@manu_goel2 Lately, I have seen more solutions like these. Also Jumpspeak is something similar.
