New in CoProd Premium: YouTube Outlier Videos

by•

Quick update on what I'm building into CoProd.

CoProd Premium's channel analytics now finds your outlier videos: the uploads that performed far above what's usual for your channel.

The catch with most analytics is they rank by total views, which mostly tells you which videos are oldest. CoProd compares like with like instead: each upload against up to 10 earlier uploads of the same format (long-form with long-form, Shorts with Shorts), over the same first 7, 28 or 90 days since release. The median of those is your usual. Hit 2x and it's Above usual, 4x is Well above.

For each upload you get the side-by-side numbers, retention next to YouTube's relative retention, traffic sources for the same window, and a Take forward note you can turn into your next topic. An outlier tells you something was different. It doesn't tell you what. That part is still yours, and the app keeps it that way.

It's part of Premium's channel analytics and arrives in the next Premium update. Channel data stays on your Mac, access is read-only, and importing a YouTube Studio CSV works too.
