I'm super impressed with Zesty's capabilities. There is absolutely nothing like it on the market. The product looks good and promising, however maybe over promising.
The marketing materials looks like it's hiding very important information:
1. 57% discount - what is this example based on? is this a specific workload? maybe r5 machines in us-east-1 linux. How about other workloads like windows machines?
2. You mention no commitment to AWS. Is there a commitment to you? any service fees? For example in your website you mention that you take 25% of the savings. So even if you save 57%, I only get 42% discount, so even in your example the savings with 3 year no upfront savings plans is bigger. And the management of SPs is very easy.

1) Indeed, the 57% discount is the average discount value for a 3-yr RI on Linux machines. You’re right that the discount level is less on windows machines which carry a license fee too. The advantage of Zesty is it removes the complexity and risk of committing to a 3-yr RI and does this all automatically for you - therefore enabling our customers to benefit from the maxim possible discount available without any of the hard work.
2) Once again you are right. The advantage of Zesty is we enable our customers to benefit from the maximum possible savings available from AWS without any of the risk of making a long-term commitment. If indeed, the customer can commit to 100% of their workload on a 3-yr time frame, then no need for Zesty. If however, forecasting what their workload will be in 3 years is not 100% straightforward, then let Zesty do that for them and and have no risk whatsoever. For a small percentage of the savings 😉
