I made a game where you hold a button for exactly 3 seconds. No timer. No hints. Just you.
The rules are stupid simple:
- Hold the button
- Release when you think 3 seconds is up
- See how wrong you are
Built it over a weekend. Free, no ads, works on any device.
How It Works
Accounts ยท Friends ยท Leaderboard ยท Privacy3sec is a timing game โ hold a button for exactly 3 seconds with no timer, no hints. Your score is how many milliseconds off you were. Play anonymously or create an account to get on the leaderboard, track friends, and compare scores.
Accounts
๐ค
Username + password only.
No email address, no phone number, no verification. Just pick a username (3โ20 chars, letters/numbers/underscore) and a password. Done.
๐
Accounts unlock the leaderboard.
Your username is unique โ no one else can submit scores under your name. Guests can still play but won't appear on the leaderboard.
๐
Forgot your password?
There's no email reset โ just create a new account with a different username. Accounts are free and take five seconds to make.
๐ฑ
Session lasts 1 hour,
auto-renewed silently in the background. If you get logged out, just log in again โ your scores stay on the leaderboard permanently.
Friends
โ
Add friends by username.
Open the Friends panel, type a username, and send a request. They'll see a notification badge on their Friends button. Once they accept, you're connected.
๐
Invite via link.
Hit the Invite button (top-left, below Friends) to copy your personal invite link. Send it to anyone โ when they sign up through that link, you're automatically friends. No manual approval needed on either side.
๐ข
Online status.
The Friends panel shows who's currently active (green dot = online in the last 2 minutes) and who's offline. Only mutual friends can see each other's status.
Leaderboard
๐
Scores are ranked by
milliseconds off target
โ lower is better. Three views:
Mine
(your personal history),
Friends
(you + your friends), and
All
(everyone).
โก
Scores are submitted automatically after each round โ no button to press. Only logged-in users appear on the leaderboard.
