I recently came across A4F, and honestly, it’s one of the smoothest tools I’ve tried for working with AI models. Instead of juggling multiple APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc., A4F gives you a single API that works across all of them. The best part? It feels just like using the OpenAI API, so I barely had to change my code. The setup was super quick—I just signed in, grabbed an API key, and was ready to go in minutes. Performance has been great too. It’s almost as fast as going directly to the provider (the delay is so tiny you don’t even notice), and it even reroutes requests if one of the providers is down. That’s a lifesaver if you’re building something that people rely on. Another thing I really appreciate is their approach to privacy and data. They don’t use your prompts to train models, and you can even choose providers based on their data policies. That gave me peace of mind, especially compared to some other services that feel a bit shady. So far, my experience has been solid—reliable, simple to use, and no hidden catches. I signed up for the PRO plan, which was "useful" for my purposes to a certain extent. BUT some AIs are NOT the model indicated on the label. Just do a very simple test, ask the AI what version it is; the wrong version can disrupt people's work. Sonnet 4 was running 3.5. Grok 4 was running the initial Grok 1. I couldn't do any further checks. And Playground V2 doesn't work; it says "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading playground.a4f.co (see the browser console for more information)." I prefer to believe it was an internal configuration error. Please fix this.

The premium tier is not worth it at all, most of the models are usually not available and return empty responses or error 500's as and some streaming not supported errors. Models are indeed duplicates upon duplicates of each other just to boost model numbers but in reality, they are the same models from different provider (and again not all of them work.) Lastly, I have noticed that a lot of the models don't behave like they should and spit out responses that don't make sense. For example, sonar (a perplexity model) identified as a google model and gave responses similar to gemini 2 flash.

I am extremely disappointed with the a4f.co service! I paid for the Pro subscription to work with GPT-5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro, but they NEVER work. Why do I need access to dozens of useless models if the most important ones are constantly offline?

The website is constantly crashing, and the API doesn't work when you need it most. Tech support just gives you empty promises and asks you not to write a bad review, but nothing changes for hours! Their apologies are just hypocrisy.

For the same money, I could have bought an official subscription and not had to deal with the hassle. If you need stability and access to top-tier models, stay away from this service. It's a scam and a complete waste of money.

The free plan was good in this website Most of the AI models are working, but some of are not working.

The problem is in the free plan The website author will remove the AI model's Randomly. There is A stability issue Need to be improved. Please don't remove the AI models randomly from the free plan. I hope in the future the website author will improve the website AI models' sustainability.

Been using this for a month now, and honestly, it's a project that had no equal and no alternatives as long as you could use Gemini 2.5 pro for free. However, thanks to misusers perverts with no personal life (oh crap, just like me), access to it on a free basis is gone. But what remains is very generous free access to many other models. When using alternative projects there were always bugs when using LLM, but that is rare, and everything works quite stable, and there is a lot of potential in this, if the project takes off and the creator succeeds, I have no doubt it will become even more convenient, and easier to use, even for free users. I could only give advice not to rely on increasing the limits, and not to pay so much attention to the other LLM models, except for those that are most in demand. It would be great if only Gemini 2.5 pro remained on the site, with limits even smaller and worse than Google studio (10-20 messages per day), but guaranteed free for users from all over the world, albeit with very limited limits. But it's probably impossible, because the problem is that all sorts of obscene horrors come to Google via APIs, and Google can simply ban the APIs themselves. But if it was possible, then instead of a bunch of free (and generous on limits) BUT absolutely not outstanding models, there would be only the best, (such as Gemini 2.5 pro and Claude 4, although horrible on limits), the project would be alternative-free and unique, would occupy a monopolistic niche, providing such high-quality models, although limited (10-20 requests per day), but in the end free and guaranteed, and absolutely high-quality. (These are all just my dreams, but how sweet they are to me, and sound kind of reasonable).
