Every evening, parents sit at the kitchen table trying to explain math to a frustrated kid. Gennady fills that gap. Point the camera at any worksheet. Every task is recognized instantly. Tap one, and Gennady explains it step by step in language your child can follow. Wrong answer? It doesn't just say "wrong." It hints, encourages, and guides getting more specific each attempt. Like a patient tutor who never runs out of time. No answers revealed. Ever. Your child does the thinking.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm the maker of Gennady.
The idea started at my own kitchen table. Watching my son struggle with a worksheet at 7 PM, getting frustrated, while I tried to remember how to explain something I hadn't thought about in twenty years. I realized: the problem isn't that kids lack intelligence. It's that they lack a patient explainer who's available at that exact frustrating moment.
I didn't want to build another "show me the answer" app. The world doesn't need more ways for kids to skip learning. So Gennady's core rule is simple: explain everything, reveal nothing. The AI breaks problems into steps, uses examples from a child's world, and gets more specific with each wrong attempt -- but the child always does the thinking.
We built it with my 8 years old son. Swift 6, SwiftUI, NestJS backend, 32 languages from day one because homework is universal.
If you have kids in elementary school, I'd genuinely love to hear if this helps. And if you have feedback -- what's missing, what could be better -- I'm right here.
