How did GPT-5.6 change the ambition or scope of what you shipped?

GPT-5.6 significantly expanded what we believed we could build with a small team. Instead of creating a traditional AI tools directory, we shifted toward building an AI-powered discovery platform. The improvements in reasoning, code generation, and long-context understanding allowed us to automate work that previously required manual effort. We now use AI to generate structured tool metadata, categorize products, create alternatives and comparison pages, improve search relevance, and accelerate engineering across the platform. As a result, we increased our ambition from simply indexing AI tools to building a scalable discovery engine that helps users find the right product while helping founders gain long-term visibility through SEO, comparisons, collections, and recommendations.
