I've been thinking about this a lot lately, especially working on AINA.
Even a few years ago, job hunting meant tailoring your resume manually and preparing for interviews mostly alone (or with a friend, or sometimes a coach if you were ready to invest).
Now AI is everywhere in the process. Candidates use it to rewrite resumes, practice interviews, and figure out why their applications aren't landing. Recruiters use it to screen resumes, write job descriptions, and even run first-round interviews.
Can it make mock interview simulation?
AINA
@aleksei_dementev Yes! Mock interview simulation is one of AINA’s key features. You can practice with a realistic video avatar and receive personalized feedback and recommendations afterward
AINA
@aleksei_dementev You can also practice as many times as you need and adapt the format to your situation, from an HR screening to a technical interview or other interview scenarios :)

hello from the recruitment side of AINA 👋
we wanted the Career Coach and interview practice to feel useful for real people, real roles and real experiences
would love to hear if it actually feels personal and useful to you💜
Hi Product Hunt!
I’m a UX/UI Designer at AINA 💜these screens lived in Figma for MONTHS!!! very happy they’re finally out in the world 🥹 feedback on anything confusing is VERY welcome AINA design team

Very interesting, better career coaching is even more necessary in the age when people mass-apply and mass-reject
@arseniy_shishaev1 Exactly. The volume on both sides keeps growing, and candidates need clarity more than ever: where they fit, why they’re not moving forward, and what to improve before the next interview.
That’s exactly the role we want AINA to play. What do you see as the bigger issue today: poor matching or the lack of meaningful feedback?
AINA
@arseniy_shishaev1 I see this a lot from the recruiting side too. More applications don’t necessarily make the process easier for either side. Helping candidates understand where they actually fit feels much more valuable than simply applying to more roles.
AINA
@arseniy_shishaev1 Completely agree with you Arseniy!
There’s so much information out there, but it’s very easy to get lost in all of it when you’re searching for a job on yur own..
People often need buddy and support, but personal career coaching can be expensive and stressful at a time when you’re already under pressure.
That’s why we wanted to create a more accessible and low-pressure option, I really hope it can be useful for people.
Congratulations on the launch. After session completion with openai astra then candidates can apply jobs am i right?
AINA
@abhishek_ambadThanks, Abhishek! Candidates can find relevant opportunities based on their profile and apply to the ones they’re interested in at any time. They can also use the Career Coach whenever they want guidance or want to work on their career goals. Astra powers the personalized development plan they get after a Career Coach session, helping them understand what to improve and what to focus on next.
@abhishek_ambad One important detail: candidates don’t have to complete a Career Coach session before applying. AINA supports the full journey as an ongoing cycle - discover roles, apply, practice interviews, reflect with the coach, and use the Astra-powered development plan to strengthen the next step.
I love the name! In this part of the world, aaina means mirror. And it aptly suits the product intent, i.e., to show where we currently stand and where we can be.
With the job situation all over the world, this is a much needed invention especially for folks who need guidance real quick.
Upvoted, all the best!
AINA
@ashok_nayak Oh, that’s such a lovely fact!
And it really fits what we want AINA to do - help people understand, where they are now and where they want to go next!
Thank you so muchh for your support and kind words 💛 Wishing you all the best too!
AINA
@ashok_nayak Thank you, Ashok! I especially relate to your point about guidance. From the recruiting side, I see how often candidates are left to navigate the whole process on their own, so giving them more clarity along the way is something I really care about. And thank you for the support and such an interesting fact about the name!
@ashok_nayak We spent a long time choosing this name. In Finnish, AINA means “always” - that was our original idea: a career companion that stays with you throughout your journey.
And now “mirror” adds a perfect second meaning: helping people see where they are and where they can go.
Two languages, two meanings, and somehow both describe exactly what we built. Looks like we landed on the right name twice 😄
Glam AI
@ashok_nayak Thanks so much for sharing this fact. So interesting 🙌
