I was hoping for a little more upgrade and a little less new-program-with-same-name, but I think it looks like a great fit with Yosemite design-wise. Not enough use to comment on whether or not it's an improved experience.

I use Airmail 2 every day - it's a great app, although I find search leaves me hanging for about 20 secs each time (I usually have a gmail window open just to do search). It is really fast for knocking through emails. Biggest feature that would be awesome for me is something like Boomerang - ie. being able to say 'Send this in 2 days at 9am'.

I'm using Airmail for MacOs for my business mails all day long for 2 months now, really effective and appealing experience. It's the first time that a mail app convinced me to quit Outlook, Thunderbird and other alternative that i have tried in several years. Could be even better and i'm sure it will be as the team behind this app provide consistent updates.

Keep switching back to this when I get fed up with my current solution. Email is so essential, but seems so difficult to get right. Airmail is probably the best I've tried, but still falls down in a couple of critical areas.
Currently, many emails only load half-way. Cmd+J reloads them, but you then need to find your place again. Undoes all the good work to make the software feel easy to use, and becomes very frustrating after email 300 or so.
The support isn't great. Maybe it's just me, but emails and tweets go unanswered on a regular basis. Seems relatively random as to whether you'll get a reply. When you do, it tends to be good, but that doesn't fill me with confidence long term.
I would also add that on the iOS app you can easily add stuff to your Pocket list. Would be great if yo could do the same on the OS app, but don't think it's currently possible.
