Alice is great, and knowing how much thought and care Greg and Adam put into it makes me appreciate it even more. The best part is that the transition from ChatGPT is simple. You don't have to use all the advanced features on day one. You just start chatting with Alice, and before you know it, you'll be tempted to try one more feature that can make your life easier. Soon you'll realize that you're a power user, and going back to ChatGPT would be like replacing your smartphone with a Nokia 3310—not that I didn't love that one. Just invest a little time to give Alice a try. Seriously, it's worth it!

I've been using Alice, and I must say it's been an incredible experience. The standout feature is having multiple models integrated in one place, accessible with just a single keyboard shortcut. I've been using Alice for less than a month and I keep discovering new features that are useful both professionally and for my hobbies. It's really worth spending some time exploring all the available options! For example, the OCR feature where you can take a screenshot of text that can't be directly copied (like from images or PDFs), trigger the appropriate Alice skill with a global keyboard shortcut, and paste the text wherever you want from your system clipboard. This shortcut works in the background - no need to open the application window. What's coolest is that you can edit the system instructions for this skill, like forcing automatic translation to your preferred language. That's just one example, of course. I recommend starting with what's most useful for you and then gradually adding more features as you go.

I LOVE Alice! I bought this almost a year ago, built an assistant, and use it almost daily. As a new founder, I use my Alice assistant as my board of directors, co-founder, co-writer of content, collaborator, and more. I fed it several of my personality assessments, my business strategy and framework, my ICP and market info, and it has become the most valuable tool I use. I couldn't work without it at this point! The one thing I wish it had is the ability to upload PDFs but I have been able to work around this mostly by using PNG files. I am a heavy AI user and have subscriptions to Perplexity and ChatGPT but still consider this one my primary AI tool. I tell everyone about it.

This app is a real AI powerhouse - and now it's much easier to get started with 🦾 🟣 Alice: ▶︎ Solves the problem of switching between ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude without shared context. ▶︎ The desktop experience is much more enjoyable than with any of the aforementioned tools. ▶︎ Allows you to create your own assistants, connect automations, MCPs, documents, and search the internet. For me, the best feature is still the ability to create assistants and quickly switch between them. For example: 1️⃣ I have my go-to assistant (or rather, a female one) "Alice," who has general knowledge about what I do and how I like to communicate. She's connected by default to Gemini 1.5 Pro—the model can be changed on the fly—and I also frequently use Sonnet. 2️⃣ The second assistant, Tony, handles technical matters related to no-code, full-code, and AI automations. He writes much more concisely, doesn't ramble, and is focused on potential solutions—by default, he's connected to Claude 3 Sonnet. 3️⃣ Samantha is connected to Gemini 1.5 Pro, just like Alice, but has different instructions and knowledge. I go to her to hash out ideas about long-term sales or marketing activities. When I'm in the app window, I just have to press cmd+1, 2, or 3 (those are the shortcuts I assigned them), and I'm already "talking" to a different assistant. 🟣 The barrier to entry for Alice is now much lower—a subscription for $8 or $16 is all you need. You no longer have to connect your own API keys, which should be a huge convenience for many users. So, if you haven't had a chance to test it yet, or if you did a few months ago, I highly recommend checking out version 4.0 🚀

Although it may seem like a straightforward concept—integrating a chat app with Shortcuts and the macOS system—it significantly minimizes the gap between planning tasks and completing them ✅ I especially love combining it with n8n to easily create advanced, private, and safe automations.

Alice is a great app. You get one interface to interact with different AI models (token burn is often lower than actually subscribing to one provider and you have the flexibility). It now supports MCP, Documents and a lot of other options to customize it for your own needs without having to build it yourself. Highly recommend!
