@thisischrisbell Nice to hear! What would it need for you to switch? We're thankful for any feedback.

@simoncaminada I currently use chrome so for me it's having everything available whether I'm on my phone, laptop, or chromebook. For me that's really convenient. I guess to make a switch, I'd love something equally or more convenient. I downloaded and am testing so at worst, I'll have another browser I use in certain situations.

LOVE this idea. Don't give up on this - can't wait to see it further develop. Heck I'd even consider investing!
@zee Thanks a lot! We would love to hear your feedback.

It's extremely surprising none of the existing browsers have implemented any solutions for the overflow of tabs. This is perfect for me and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future updates.
Add in extensions, bookmarks and security features and I'm sold.

@desmonddantzler if you're on Chrome, check out the OneTab or Tabs Outliner extensions - they have a very similar approach as Alloy, though since they are extensions they don't have an integrated UI that's quite as easy to work with. I end up pinning OneTab to my window so it's easily available.
I'm excited for Alloy, since even the best solutions so far still fall short :)
Love this idea. Simple but powerful! Would be great if:
- Compact header a la most other mainstream browsers.
- Private task (like an incognito window so all tabs in that task have a separate cookie store for multiple accounts).
- Open Source (would be easier to win people's trust, especially considering most major ones are).
- A plugin that helps move tabs from Chrome/Safari to Alloy (to make the switch easier).
Congrats on the successful launch!
@randomor Thank you! These are good suggestions and we will consider to implement them. Open source it would definitely help people's trust, but a better foundation would be needed. It isn't planned for the near future.

I am not gonna lie, I was very hesitant when I read about this. Partly because of what Ben said, partly because the idea is a bit wonky at first glance. I downloaded it and after playing with it I have to say that this is such a great idea and I love the execution. The minimal nature of the design is refreshing and I love the task based browsing. I feel for now as you are in Alpha, I will use this for during work stuff and stick to my Vivaldi for personal. But that could change. Great job. Love the new way of looking at a very old and tired product.
Really like the idea. Would love to see features like quick change of tasks, pinning tasks from being accidentally marked as "done" just to name a few. Overall, with a few much needed features, I could see myself switching browsers for good :) Great job !
