I have an Amazon.in prime membership so it allowed me into the application page. But looks like it only accepts addresses under US jurisdiction.

I've saved hundreds of dollars using this card. You can make it your default card on Amazon and also use it for gas, groceries and other common purchases to get significant discounts over time. The trick is to keep the balance at 0 because the interest rate isn't great. I've never gotten excited about a credit card but this one is really great, since I shop on Amazon a LOT and that's 5% off, plus the points I earn for using it really add up, to use to buy more junk.
Pros:
The discounts offered and ability to earn points to use on Amazon purchases saves a ton of $ on Amazon and elsewhere.
Cons:
The interest rate isn't anything to get excited about.
Just a word of warning with this card. Amazon does not offer price protection, and neither does this card. There are other cards that do, and if you hook them up to something like Earny, if you're buying a high ticket item and/or a lot of things that add up, you could save thousands more than the piddly 5% you otherwise get.
I only mention this because I've experienced this failure personally. So, it's great to get the 5% back for most things where you wouldn't expect a 5% difference between that item and any potential price drops. But, the price protection guarantees offered on other cards are worth much more for a higher priced purchase or set of purchases.

How does this compare to the Chase Sapphire card for spending outside of Amazon?
Report
@ehn 2% for gas and restaurants, 1% for everything else. No airline rewards comparable to Sapphire.
