Used Asana for 3+ years managing automotive R&D projects. The timeline view and dependencies were crucial for stakeholder reporting and critical path analysis.

However, I consistently ran into the same problem: engineering teams wanted Kanban flexibility for daily work, but leadership needed Gantt precision for planning. Asana forces you to choose - you get great timeline OR great board, never both on the same data.

That methodology lock-in is actually why I'm building SAFYRO - to give teams true hybrid flexibility.

Asana is solid for pure Waterfall or pure Agile teams. But for complex organizations with mixed methodologies? The forced choice becomes painful.

I discovered Asana a few monthes ago and honestly it has helped me so much with my to-do lists and project planning. My fiancee and I use it when we have a lot of house renovations or chores to do, we also use it for art projects since you can make a to do list and then add subtasks which helps me sort through larger tasks and remember all the little details that go along with those. A good example is when I am working on more than one cosplay (like if we are doing a group cosplay and we need to make stuff for a friend or if we are doing a couples cosplay) I can make one task "complete xyz cosplay" then under that task i can add every small detail as a subtask like buy fabrics, make mold of thing for prop, paint xyz, add buttons.... you get the point. when ever we have a lot going on in our lives it makes it easy for us both to remember the never ending list of things that need to get done and we can add a due date to anything that is time sensitive. I also use Asana for my work as a virtual assistant because it helps me keep track of those types of projects when I'm working for more than one person and need to sort through things like meetings, calls, design projects and more.

I have been using this project management software for the last four years; We move from Trello to Asana due to the user interface that asana has. I like its timeline and workflow tabs best features that I missed to have with Trello. Overall, I am delighted with these tools. My teammates can report me correctly, and I can easily check what is in progress and, what they have completed so far, What's on my plate. I am very used to their apps too. The best thing about their reminder tone. One IMprovement that I am looking for: Under my task section, I want to see one change, Where we add a filter for checking how many tasks we have completed does not have four weeks, monthly or quarterly data. @asana, Would appreciate it If you could implement that for us. Thanks.

Asana has a lot of features that you can utilize to improve workflow within your team(s), The scheduling options are serviceable and you can work on task management quite quickly and efficiently. To be successful on Asana, it gets quite expensive to expand your teams and pay for your seats. Asana in itself is a wonderful working product, but it can get a bit boring for users sometimes which unfortunately in turn promotes less usage overall in employees. Overall Asana is good, but there are better options at more affordable prices that basically do the same thing and sometimes even do it better.

I started using Asana many years ago. It was fantastic. It was lightweight and did the job. Over time, they kept adding features to it and it is becoming more and more complex and dropping from a 5 start always recommend to a 4 star, still good, but take it with a grain of salt if you aren't an avid asana user.

This product is great for team collaboration and task assigning. I use Asana daily for work and I can now navigate the app easily, it did take me a while to get to grips with how to use the product at first though. It's great for managing projects and remote working!
