Launched this week
Aside is a browser rebuilt for people and agents. It signs into your accounts, uses websites directly, and finishes complex work: messages, payments, internal tools, even local files. - Crafted in every detail: vertical tabs and Liquid Glass. - SOTA on agentic browsing benchmarks: outperforms Claude Cowork. - Full privacy: everything runs locally and is encrypted. - You can use your Claude or ChatGPT subscription.

Aside
@therne I'm going to have to check out that integration with Telegram.
Is their any documentation on that yet ?
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
Wow, that's too much responsibilities we give to bots. How can we be sure they don't abuse access? For example, can we confirm their actions?
Aside
@busmark_w_nika Yes, we have a/ permission level control, and b/ Final confirm. so Aside will ask before crucial actions like send, pay, delete, or submit.
I'm on Dia right now and I'd be hard-put to swap (took me ages to move from Arc), but the logged-in account part is the piece Dia doesn't touch. What does that get me that a sidebar doesn't and how do you guys handle profiles (The swiping between profiles is the big reason I'm a DIA/Arc guy)
Aside
@justin_rockmore We also support swiping profiles, but it is strongly binded to Aside account. But the good news is, we'll support Arc/Dia like profile system in 1-2 week!
@chanhee Awesome - so to clarify I'd need 1 Aside account currently or, in this particular use case, I'd need 3-4 (one per profile).
I've been using Aside as my primary browser for the past few weeks, it's already become a substantially better assistant for me that others in the "AI browser" space have been for a long time.
It's done everything from posting to LinkedIn for me, to setting up an entire UniFi VLAN + Docker configuration on my Unraid server entirely with it's browser use tools, saving me probably a week of effort and trying to understand things.
While Aside still has a long way to go to do everything I like it to, it's ultimately a Chromium browser and all of the benefits that come with that, it's just got the most comprehensive agentic harness baked in which turns everything up to 11.
There's nothing else doing it the way Aside is and I look forward to seeing it grow as time goes on! Just hoping it doesn't pull a BCoNY on us 😉
Aside
@sammykins I saw your comment on X and share it to the team. Looking into it!
Been using Aside as my daily browser for about a month now, and out of every AI browser I've tried, this is the one that stuck.
Two things sold me.
First, context. You can connect your existing AI subscriptions or API access, or just use the connection Aside gives you. But the part other browsers miss is that your context actually comes with you. No re-prompting, no exporting a chat to paste somewhere else. It's just there.
Second, the AI is opt-in. This works as both a browser and a space for your AI chats, so nothing gets summarized unless I ask for it.
Most AI browsers shove AI into every surface when not everything needs it. Let me type "sulcata tortoise" into the bar and read about tortoises without a popup offering to help. That sounds like a small thing. It isn't.
Profile setup and customization are smooth, and the plugins and connections have been painless.
This browser is going places, and I'm glad to be a customer.
What if the agent faces an ambiguous choice point during the task such as confirming a payment – will it pause to seek approval, or will it continue autonomously?
Btw, Congratulations @chanhee , @dora_lee & @therne on the brilliant launch of Aside 🎊🎊
Aside
@aymi_malik You can choose how agents should work - If you turn on Final confirm, Aside will ask you before taking serious actions.
I've tried Comet, Dia and Atlas too, but keep coming back to Aside. It feels faster for both research and multi-tab tasks. It actually finish the tasks, not just suggesting some options. Really enjoying it so far. Congrats on the launch!
