For me, the development experience with Astro has been fantastic. I’ve used it to build several content-driven websites, which is exactly the type of site Astro excels at. However, Astro is not limited to static content sites—it's now capable of handling backend APIs, making full-stack development possible. That’s why I’m also using Astro to develop various full-stack websites. I remember seeing a member of the Astro founding team mention that they hope people find it almost impossible to build slow websites with Astro. I really admire this mindset and dedication, and I hope Astro continues to become even more powerful and user-friendly in the future.

Astro has changed the way I write static pages forever. This is a way too good piece of software tooling for frontend devs. It has ironed out many issues I face, while offering a simple and easy way to write webpages, especially with Type saftey even inside markdown. And the fact that you can write components in almost any framework is amazing as well... The islands architecture is really nice, opting into interactivity as needed. View Transitions in Astro is unparalleled. Starlight is an amazing docs framework. Finally time to move off of VitePress, even if it was pretty good.

I use this as frontend for my knowledge base, so that I can have it without Obsidian installed or anywhere without syncing entire base! Absolute elegant and straight forward! Just a symlink to contents then build...rocket!
