Once it locks, that's it: no editing, no rewriting history, no quietly polishing what you actually felt in the moment. Just an honest, raw, and unfiltered record of your day. Entries sync across your devices with your own private iCloud and never with a first/third-party server. When typing is not enough, record a squope (square video) or an audio note. at8pm is free to download (up to 2 entries per day).

@vinceurag the locking mechanic is the smart part here. Most journaling apps compete on how easy they make editing, and that ease is exactly what lets you quietly rewrite what you felt in the moment. I really like the privacy approach here. Keeping entries in personal iCloud rather than sending them to another server makes this feel much more comfortable for private thoughts.

Love this concept - the fact that it locks by default instead of tempting you to edit later is the whole product, and most journaling apps go the opposite direction. Quick question on the lock mechanic: if you're traveling across time zones, does the configured lock time follow your phone's local time automatically, or does it stay anchored to whatever time zone you set it up in?
