Describe what you want. Atelier composes real, editable pages and you keep the content, the server, and the keys. A self-hosted, AI-first site builder on Drupal. Bring your own AI provider, boot keyless, and a human approves everything that ships.
Hi Product Hunt — I'm Shibin, and this is attempt number five.
I build enterprise Drupal for a living, and I love it, and, that work pays my bills precisely because Drupal is so good at complex, large-scale things. But my
toughest critic is my wife: never used Drupal, zero patience for developer excuses. Four times I built her a website tool. Four times she was right to walk
away. Atelier is the fifth attempt, the one where "developer required" finally stopped being true.
What it is: a self-hosted appliance you install with one line, then run by chatting with it. Describe a page, get a real, editable page. Draft, preview, publish and the agent proposes, you dispose. Nothing ships without a human approving it.
The insight I care most about: AI is great at a page and terrible at a site. A real website isn't ten pages ... it's one brand, ten times. You won't notice
the drift; my wife does. So Atelier composes every page from your brand system (palette, type, spacing) and stays consistent across the whole site. You edit it now or a year later, your band remains consistent.
What you're not signing up for: it's not a SaaS. Your content lives in your database, your AI provider keys stay on your box, fresh installs boot keyless. Underneath it's real Drupal content, standards-based and yours to take anywhere, including a plain static HTML export. Same license as Drupal, GPL.
Install:
curl -fsSL https://aincient-labs.com/atelie... | bash
console at localhost:41221.
There's also a signed desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux.
Tinker, hack and break it... and tell me where it falls short. If this attempt doesn't pass the wife test either, I'm ready for round six.
