congratulations on the launch of audiowaveai, michael. transforming text into natural sounding audio seems like a fascinating challenge. i'm curious, how does your ai handle different accents and dialects to maintain naturalness in audio output?
@mashy it was trained by OpenAI on speech to text data and learned how to express emotion and when to pause.
It is a pretty fascinating experiment, conceptually quite simple.
Over time I expect to see this be able to run on device. At one point I tried to see if I can build a desktop app, but it is a bit early as the open source models donโt have the quality output (remember how bad stability diffusion had at first, we are still in the early days)

Fantastic app! It converts text to audiobook-quality sound effortlessly, producing clear and professional audio. Perfect for anyone looking to create high-quality audiobooks or listen to written content on the go. Highly recommend!
@shashcoffe Thanks Alexey ๐. It was a pleasure to build and already helped me so much. I wish I had this years ago, there are so many things I would have actually read.
@alain_gold1 yep, I see you are teaching languages with your tool so you know the high price of TTS. I actually did a comparison here: https://github.com/yagudaev/tts-... -- love to get your 2cents on that. Some of the upcoming open source models are quite promising
