Badgeify is a powerful macOS utility that allows you to add any application to your menu bar. It provides easy notification tracking and quick app launches.
Hey, Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm thrilled to introduce Badgeify, a tool I've created to enhance the Mac user experience.
As a long-time Mac user, I've always felt our menu bars could do more. That's why we built Badgeify — to unlock the full potential of this often-underutilized space.
Key features:
• Add any app to your menu bar for quick access
• Real-time notification badges for all your apps
• Customizable icons and app grouping
• One-click app launching
• Universal compatibility with macOS apps
I'd love to hear your thoughts! What features would make Badgeify even more helpful for you?
We're here to answer any questions and eager for your feedback to make Badgeify even better.
Thanks for checking Badgeify!

@yuexunjiang Well done on bringing your idea to life! Wishing yo continued success and great experiences. What’s onefeature you’re particularly excited about?
@kjosephabraham Thanks for your support, the feature I'm most excited about is my recently launched App group, which lets multiple apps share one menu bar icon.

This is exactly the application I have been searching for a long time.
I always want my screen to be as wide as possible, so I don't want to use the Dock. However, I need to see notifications from messages, and I prefer them to be on the Menubar. Not every application, like Telegram, offers this option.
I customized the icon for each application to best fit the Mac Menubar. I am very satisfied.
LOVE THIS. The Mac menubar is underrated and I often work with Cursor and ChatGPT to make me Menubar apps. This was super smart. How did you go about integrating the different apps?
Congrats on the launch!

Congratulation on the launch! I can see this being useful for apps like 1Password which takes 2 clicks to open from their default menubar whereas Badgeify brings it down to 1.

Hey @yuexunjiang!
Badgeify sounds like a game-changer for macOS users who love keeping their workspace tidy and efficient. The ability to add any app to the menu bar and track notifications seamlessly is a fantastic idea, especially for those of us who prefer a clean desktop with a hidden Dock. The customizable icons and app grouping features also sound like they'll really personalize the experience. I'm curious, how does Badgeify handle resource management in terms of performance? Looking forward to trying this out and seeing how it fits into my daily workflow.
Great work on developing such a useful tool!
@steven_wang_0804 Thanks, Steven. Badgeify is currently very stable. It only gets the number of notifications from the Dock, which means it uses minimal resources. Updates to the menu bar are also on-demand, meaning that if you have not received any messages, there is essentially no performance consumption. Feel free to download and experience it, and if you have any feedback, please feel free to contact me.
