Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the maker of Bank Statement Magic.
As a developer and business owner, I realized how much time is wasted manually typing out bank transactions for accounting. I built Bank Statement Magic to completely automate this tedious process, specifically with accountants and finance teams in mind.
We’ve trained our intelligent PDF parser to recognize and extract transaction tables from over 1,000+ global banks. You just drag, drop, and export perfectly formatted data.
✨ Why we built it & what it does:
Instant Export: Convert any PDF statement directly to Excel, CSV, or TallyPrime.
Insanely Accurate: 99.9% accuracy on table extraction, even on multi-page, messy PDFs.
Bank-Grade Security: Your financial data stays yours. Files are processed with high-level encryption and auto-deleted immediately after conversion. 🔒
We’ve already helped users process over 120,000 conversions. We’d love for you to try it on your own statements and let us know what you think!

Parsed a Chase statement in seconds and the Excel formatting was already clean enough to drop into QuickBooks without fixing columns. Wish I'd found this months ago during tax season.

@yldzkfqa This is great to hear — Chase statements dropping into QuickBooks with no column cleanup is exactly the outcome we're chasing (no pun intended 😄). We put a lot of work into getting the formatting right on the first pass so you're not fixing columns by hand, so it's really rewarding to know it held up. Sorry we didn't turn up months earlier — we'll make sure you're set for the next tax season. 🙏

Tried it on a messy 40-page statement and it pulled every line into Excel without me touching a thing, which honestly felt like witchcraft. The auto-delete promise is a nice touch for client docs too.

@batuhandjvb Felt like witchcraft" might be my favorite review yet 😄 — a messy 40-pager pulling every line cleanly is the hardest test, so I'm thrilled it held up. And you're right that auto-delete matters double for client docs. Thanks for putting it through its paces!

The auto-delete after processing is a smart trust signal, especially for accountants handling sensitive client data. Love that it works with TallyPrime too, that's a detail most similar tools overlook.

@melihax5o9 Thank you — you've spotted the two things we care about most. Auto-delete was non-negotiable for us precisely because accountants handle sensitive client data and shouldn't have to wonder where those files live afterward. And yes, TallyPrime support is deliberate, not an afterthought — it's the detail we kept seeing overlooked, so we leaned into it. Great to have you notice both.

Parsed a few statements from Indian banks and the Excel output was clean enough to drop straight into Tally without fixes. Wish I'd found this sooner during tax season.

@ezels5ii This makes my day — "drop straight into Tally without fixes" is precisely what we built it for. The India + Tally Prime workflow is where most converters fall short, so hearing it held up on real statements means a lot. Sorry we didn't cross your path before tax season — we'll make sure you're covered for the next one. 🙏

honestly the 99.9% accuracy claim is great but it would be super helpful to see a side by side preview of what the AI parsed versus the original PDF before I download the file, basically a quick verification step so I can catch any misread transactions without re-uploading everything

@laydat2tm Really appreciate this — it's honestly the feature request I most agree with. A side-by-side "parsed vs. original" preview before download is exactly the right way to build trust in the accuracy claim instead of just asserting it. It's now high on our roadmap: a verification view where you can eyeball each transaction against the source page and fix a misread inline, no re-upload. Thanks for articulating it so clearly!
