Wondering if I have this right... i convert my email address into a barcode, save the image on my phone, and when I checkout at Wholefoods they'll scan this barcode off my phone it will email me the receipt?

This is so smart to replace receipts using existing store scanners. But I don't want to be added to an email list with every single store.

In the past, I spent hours looking for something like this. I had some barcode readers and wanted to create validation system for invitation letters, to make sure people don't copy the invitations. Barcode software is crazy expensive and it's made for big grocers with thousands of entries. That wasn't my case, so this would have saved me hours of search. The only change would be in having options of barcode language. What most people doesn't know (yeah I turned into a barcode geek after that) is that different machines read different "languages" of barcodes. Matching a barcode language with the machine language is tricky.
