Hey Everyone, 👋🏼 I created BentoHub for all the developers out there with a GitHub account. Why? - I wasn't satisfied with my GitHub profile from the day I created it. - I tried a few tools. Some worked, some didn't. So, I decided to build my own. I faced many challenges along the way. With my existing knowledge, I built the first version of the app, but it had major drawbacks. Now, I've updated it, and version 2 is all set for you to use. So go ahead, try it out, and don't forget to support it. Here is more about me Thank you. 🙏🏼

This is a very cool idea. Have you considered also generating a dark-mode variant? GitHub supports switching images depending on the context. You can use the picture and source element for it, they go over it in the "Adding an image to suit your visitors." I believe this could be a great feature to consider for your app. 🙂

Thanks @thinkverse This is a good idea. I do have a dark version of the app and the grid itself. But as far as I know we can't add images dynamically on GitHub based on the theme. Please correct me if I am wrong.

@amit_tambulkar you sure can, use the picture element with sources like the documentation shows. 👍 They were experimenting with Markdown support for it but that might be deprecated, using picture is what GitHub recommends. Well it won’t be “dynamic” in a sense that you can use one URL for the image, the user would still need to add one source and URL per theme.

@amit_tambulkar Remembered that I have a repo that demos both the picture and markdown options, called useful-gh-markdown, and both versions seems to still work. 👍

hey Amit, it's amazing to find traction for building something cool. 200+ votes is a great achievement. Though do you have some initial ideas about monetizing this, more specifically- who exactly would be a paying target audience segment?
