It is not decentralized, which means it does not need to be on a blockchain. You cannot pull your money out or trade it on an exchange. There is no clear roadmap for users to make money and there is no transparency in what they intend to do. If people are to make money in the future then it must be listed as a security. If they are using profiles of individuals to sell a product they will be subject to lawsuits. The product is not innovative or forward thinking because it is centralized and exclusive without a real sense of innovative space for interaction. It is a social network that slapped the word crypto on it without having the actual benefits of crypto, namely, a decentralized, transparent, democratic, non-custodial system.

I'm in no rush. This has been done before by others, e.g., Steem/Steemit. It developed a strong core user base, but was still too techy/geeky to garner mainstream adoption. And the lack of governance created a situation in which the platform got overrun by bots, low quality posts, tipping schemes/scams, and infighting, and the whales had no real incentive to fix it. It's a great concept, but simply not worth any investment of my time until they prove that they've figured out how to avoid the pitfalls of others that have gone before.

Cool concept! Huge impersonation issue though - some of our clients have usernames in-use and are pretending to be them. Reached out to the help email through my personal account and haven't heard back!

Heard about Bitclout on Clubhouse and bought $40 of Bitclout. Is this a black hole for bitcoin?

@alphacolo I felt the same way and added $60 of BTC but my account now is valued at $300 BTC in two days!! There seems to be ways to drive value that is compensated. Similar to how you gain crypto from using the Brave browser.
