Hey Nathan,
I'm wondering what specific performance optimizations you implemented to make it faster than built-in IDE search?
Do you have plans to release plugins for specific IDEs in the future?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Blitz Search uses a proprietary indexing solution, keeping a reduced set of information in memory to keep it nice and lean. It also leverages messagepack and other modern technologies to help with quick startup times.
@kyrylosilin I would love to support more IDEs, the integration itself is very thin so that more could easily be added, its just a matter of which ones to go afterb (there are many). Squeeky wheels get the greese, come to my discord server and lets talk!

I’ve used other tools, but the combination of ease-of-use and powerful search capabilities really sets Blitz Search apart. Any plans to add more customization options in the future?
@yatheen_brahma Yes, I want to add more exciting options like adding more lines of context around the results AND searching vertically instead of just single lines.
The Git Ignore filter is a great feature to reduce clutter in results, can’t wait to try it out. Will you be expanding it to support MacOS in the future?
@flashsonic this depends on Blits Search getting enough traction on Windows. I chose a UI framework that is cross-platform, its just a matter of me getting my hands on a Mac machine to do the work and test it.
Congrats to the Blitz team on the launch! This tool looks like a fantastic way to supercharge search and streamline navigation. Are there customization options for integrating Blitz with other productivity apps?
